Responsible Gambling
Betting should be entertainment, never a way to solve money problems. This page explains how to keep it that way.
Our Position
ProfitFootball.com sells football tips, and we know that betting carries real risk. We want our subscribers to enjoy football and to stay in control. We will never encourage anyone to bet more than they can afford, to chase losses or to treat betting as a source of income. This site is for adults only, aged 18 or over, or the legal gambling age in your country if higher.
No Tip Removes The Risk
Football is unpredictable. Even the best analysis loses often, and no tip, slip or plan is guaranteed to win. Long losing runs are normal, and they are more likely on higher odds, correct scores and large accumulators. Our public archive shows wins and losses alike so you can see this for yourself. Never treat a tip as a certainty.
Basic Rules For Safer Betting
Decide how much money you can afford to lose before you start, and treat it as the price of entertainment. Never bet money needed for rent, bills, food or family. Set a daily, weekly or monthly limit and stick to it. Never chase losses by raising your stakes after a bad day. Do not bet when you are tired, angry, upset or under the influence of alcohol. Keep betting to a small part of your free time, and take regular breaks. Never borrow money to bet.
Warning Signs
It may be time to stop and seek support if you spend more money or time on betting than you planned, feel the need to bet larger amounts to get the same excitement, think about gambling most of the time, bet to escape problems or bad feelings, hide your betting from family and friends, borrow money or sell things to gamble, or feel anxious or guilty about your betting. These signs can appear gradually, so it helps to check in with yourself regularly.
Tools You Can Use
Most licensed bookmakers offer free tools such as deposit limits, loss limits, time reminders, cool-off periods and self-exclusion. We strongly recommend using them. You can also use blocking software, such as Gamblock or BetBlocker, to stop access to gambling sites on your devices.
Where To Get Help
If gambling is a problem for you or someone close to you, free and confidential help is available. You can contact BeGambleAware, GamCare, Gambling Therapy or Gamblers Anonymous. Please also look for a support organisation in your own country. If you feel in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a trusted person right away.
Protecting Minors
Gambling is illegal for anyone under the legal age. If you share a device with children, please keep betting sites and our emails out of their reach, and consider parental control software.
Our Commitment
If you tell us that you want to stop receiving our emails or that gambling is causing you harm, we will remove you from our lists straight away. Write to us through the contact page at any time.
